Tracheitis, also known as "acute bronchitis," is an inflammation of the trachea, the airway connecting the larynx, bronchi, and bronchioles. When my airways are inflamed, it signifies a sense of suffocation. Air represents life, and feelings of profound sadness and anger may be brewing. I might feel misunderstood by my surroundings, gradually leading to a state of depression. My body is urging me to breathe freely and make room for love.
I feel that my body is not free to breathe freely and make room for love.
The nose serves as the passage for life-giving air to reach my lungs. Air is of utmost importance. Apart from breathing through our two nostrils, we can also breathe through our mouth. Difficulty in breathing can signify challenges in my life. If I resist living fully or struggle to adapt to my surroundings because they don't align with my desires, my ability to breathe through my nose may suffer. It's as if I'm trying to expel a conflict through my nose. If the left nostril is problematic, it may carry an emotional message, while issues with the right nostril indicate rational difficulties. In either case, I may need to explore my birth experience to uncover the source of my nasal discomfort. If I've undergone surgery to improve my breathing, it's like saying yes to intuition, experience, and life itself. By adopting an open and self-trusting attitude, I can overcome any nose-related discomfort.
During fetal development when the lungs form, it signifies my commitment to be here and my agreement to embrace life, demonstrated through my breathing. If I fear life or wish for someone else to take charge of my life, my lungs may encounter difficulties. Shallow breathing serves as a defense mechanism against facing reality, resulting in anxiety and fear of perceived threats. My lung function reflects my capacity to expand, engage, or contract, withdraw, and isolate from life. Pulmonary emphysema, characterized by difficulty breathing and a sense of oppression, suggests I may have difficulty accepting life's challenges. Why do I struggle to engage with life? Is this a way of evading it? I must reclaim my power, assert myself, and express my needs to rediscover enthusiasm for life. The oppression I felt will transform into an influx of air and life into my lungs, revealing countless opportunities for happiness.
Breathing difficulties signify a conflict between the role I occupy in life and the one I desire. It may also indicate a conflict between material and spiritual desires or a struggle between my desire to live and my reluctance to let go. Feeling stifled by obligations or forced interactions can lead to cyclical breathing issues. I must identify the triggering event or person and ask why they "take my breath away" or why I need space to breathe. If my breathing problems become a means to manipulate my surroundings, I may feel constrained. Difficulty breathing may also result from a hesitation to share or give, stemming from a fear of absorbing new experiences or love. Releasing resistance and embracing life can alleviate these issues, helping me discover my rightful place in the Universe.
I will be more able to find the place I have in the Universe.
Pulmonary emphysema results from the dilation of the deepest part of the bronchi, often following chronic bronchitis. Sufferers find it challenging to breathe and constantly feel short of breath. Refer to the section on bronchitis, noting that this disease signifies an urgent need for attention. Since the lungs symbolically represent our ability to breathe freely in life, those with emphysema receive a message that it's time to reclaim their own space.
