4) Forgive yourself, the most crucial step. Grant yourself the right to have fears, beliefs, weaknesses, and limitations that cause suffering and affect your actions. Accept your present self, knowing it's temporary.
5) Develop a desire to express forgiveness. Imagine yourself with the relevant person, seeking forgiveness for judgment, criticism, or resentment. Proceed when the thought of sharing your experience with that person brings joy and relief.
6) Approach the person and express your experience, requesting forgiveness for any accusations, judgments, or resentment. Mention that you have forgiven them only if they inquire.
7) Establish a connection with an authority figure from your past by recalling a similar event that involved someone representing authority. Revisit all the steps with this person, usually the same gender as the person in step 6.
