The term "psychosomatic" describes the relationship between the mind (psycho) and the body (soma). Originally, it implied that the mind influenced the body and vice versa. However, the modern medical use of "psychosomatic" primarily emphasizes the mind's connection to the body. When I am told that my illness is psychosomatic, it doesn't mean the illness is imaginary, but rather that it has roots in the mind. From a metaphysical perspective, all illnesses have origins beyond the physical, making them essentially psychosomatic. To address my health, I must care for my body while also searching for the root cause that triggered the ailment or illness. The subconscious mind possesses immense regenerative power and can produce physical effects based on its interpretations. For example, freezing to death in a refrigerator compartment may occur due to a lack of awareness when the refrigeration system stops. Walking on hot coals without harm can happen when the subconscious perceives no danger. ALL DISEASES EMERGE AFTER A CONFLICT, AN EMOTIONAL IMPACT, OR A CONSCIOUS/UNCONSCIOUS TRAUMA. The brain activates a biological survival mechanism in response to the experienced conflict or trauma. Deciphering this message is key to modifying the brain's program and restoring health. While understanding this, I must continue caring for my physical body to improve my overall health.
Hypochondria refers to excessive worry about one's health, often bordering on obsession. It reflects deep insecurity in the face of losing control to illness. The fear of illness may become overwhelming, leading to a detachment from reality and even hallucinations. Reconnecting with oneself through energetic or psychotherapeutic approaches can help rebuild self-confidence and trust in one's innate capacity for openness in the face of life.
Dystrophy refers to a disorder in the nutrition of an organ or a specific anatomical area, often leading to atrophy (a notable decrease in volume and normal weight) or hypertrophy (an increase in volume). In muscular dystrophy, there is a loss of muscular control, indicating that the affected person is excessively controlled by their past, often assuming the role of a victim to gain attention. They may have attempted to hide and control this aspect of themselves but now find themselves increasingly dependent on others for their well-being. If you suffer from muscular dystrophy, the message is clear and urgent: it's time to learn to love yourself and stop seeking validation from others through illness or problems. Believing that a severe issue will earn you love is not a healthy solution. Are you willing to become entirely reliant on others and the system for attention? It's wiser to recognize your capabilities, assert them, and seek attention in healthier ways rather than resorting to illness.
This term typically refers to illnesses or diseases described in this dictionary. If I am a child experiencing an ailment or illness, it's possible that my condition reflects the inner ailment of one of my parents. My heightened sensitivity connects me to my parents' inner realities. Thus, I may resonate with the inner child of my parents. The illness I experience is a mirror of the awareness I need to gain. Neither my parents nor I should be blamed for what I am going through.
None of us should be blamed for what I am going through.
