During fetal development when the lungs form, it signifies my commitment to be here and my agreement to embrace life, demonstrated through my breathing. If I fear life or wish for someone else to take charge of my life, my lungs may encounter difficulties. Shallow breathing serves as a defense mechanism against facing reality, resulting in anxiety and fear of perceived threats. My lung function reflects my capacity to expand, engage, or contract, withdraw, and isolate from life. Pulmonary emphysema, characterized by difficulty breathing and a sense of oppression, suggests I may have difficulty accepting life's challenges. Why do I struggle to engage with life? Is this a way of evading it? I must reclaim my power, assert myself, and express my needs to rediscover enthusiasm for life. The oppression I felt will transform into an influx of air and life into my lungs, revealing countless opportunities for happiness.

Pneumonia, an infection of the lungs caused by bacteria or viruses, and pleurisy, acute or chronic inflammation of the pleura (the membrane surrounding the lungs), indicate an inner conflict significantly weakening me. It signifies irritation and limitation in my relationship with the air of my inner life, restricting my ability to live fully. These deeply ingrained emotions represented by inflammation may indicate feeling deeply "shocked" or "irritated." My emotions, fear of isolation or overwhelm, and resistance to life profoundly affect my lung function. I may feel entangled in personal relationships, overwhelmed by responsibilities, and experience discouragement and despair, questioning the purpose of life. To address these issues, I must allocate time for self-care and simplify my life by relinquishing responsibilities that aren't mine. By doing so, life will become easier and more beautiful.
