Cholesterol see also: Blood [in general] Psychosomatic and Holistic Meaning and Interpretation

Cholesterol is a lipid (fat) essential for the human body. One of its roles is to protect the walls of blood vessels from wear and tear caused by the constant circulation of blood. Typically, the liver produces the necessary cholesterol, while any excess obtained from food is sent to the gallbladder and later eliminated through the intestines. When this natural process is disrupted, it leads to high cholesterol levels in the blood, known as hypercholesterolemia. This can result in deposits forming in various parts of the body, including the skin, tendons, cornea, eyelids, and most significantly, the arterial walls, affecting blood circulation. Refer to circulatory problems, arterial issues, and arteriosclerosis for related information.

Cholesterol, categorized as LDL (Low-Density Lipoproteins, "bad" cholesterol) and HDL (High-Density Lipoproteins, "good" cholesterol), plays a vital role in blood health, representing the joy of living. Imbalanced cholesterol levels are often associated with a lack of happiness. Life events, such as retirement or loss of loved ones, can impact cholesterol levels by affecting one's sense of joy. Excessive consumption of cholesterol-rich foods may also indicate a selfish and egocentric approach to self-care. To rectify this, it's essential to embrace joy, let go of fear, and welcome happiness as an integral part of life.

Veins are blood vessels that carry blood from organs back to the heart. When veins return blood from the lungs to the heart, it's purified "red" blood rich in oxygen. I've never been lucky with veins (= luck), which is akin to saying I've struggled to find the joy of living. Blood flows through my veins; it signifies life and the happiness of living. I often find myself in conflict with my inner voice and my actions in life. I feel disappointed and overwhelmed, living in a state of inertia where I no longer appreciate the beautiful moments that come my way. I lack energy, feeling empty and unsupported by life and my surroundings, seeing everything in a negative light. My coronary veins may be particularly affected if I fear losing someone or something I "own" and hesitate to let go of. I perceive it as a threat to my territory, such as my spouse, home, family, job, or ideas. I choose to allow joy to flow within me, acknowledging the good moments, learning to relax, and finding inner peace.

I am capable of relaxing.
