Bright's disease, or chronic nephritis, is a severe inflammatory condition affecting the kidneys. This ailment is accompanied by edema, which is the abnormal retention of body tissues, as well as an inadequate elimination of urine. Typically, the kidneys degenerate or fail quickly, and it's more profound than general kidney diseases (sclerosis).
